The political environment of the media market in 2022, Croatia

With war raging in Ukraine and a looming energy crisis, 2022 was relatively peaceful in domestic politics. With no elections (first upcoming in 2024), biggest upsets were embezzlement of INA and other corruption scandals that lead to government reshuffles. Corruption scandals are a good thing because they are being reviled and hopefully, in time, government corruption will drop in frequency and intensity. As elections in Croatia donĀ“t boost the media market significantly due to advertising spending restrictions, the only impact of a non-election year was less clutter in media. In Croatia, the only media that has higher demand during election time is OOH, and only for maximum of 4 weeks and that is easily managed.
