TOP 5 Consumer Trends

1. Green homes
The market of green homes is about to boom. The main reason – in addition to people's growing eco-awareness – is a support program of the state that makes environmentally sustainable homes financially extremely favorable.

2. Triumph of private-label products
Private-label products have become increasingly popular in the recent years. Thanks to their good or even excellent quality and favorable prices, products like retailers’ own brands have already become a serious competitor even for well established, traditional brands.

3. Super-apps
Banking applications extend their basic functionality to other commercial aspects. Buying bus or train tickets, paying for your taxi ride or the parking fee, purchasing a highway vignette, a cinema ticket or even an insurance are only a few from the available options. And the number of options is growing.

4. Stockpiling
Lockdown times have taught people to appreciate well-stocked pantries. The lockdown is over, but the uncertain economic situation, constant inflation and global increase in food prices make people buy in bulk. All of this has led some distributors to limit the number of certain products that can be purchased at a time.

5. “Free from” craze
There are more and more options for people with different food sensitivities and allergies. Many people choose these options even if they have no real health-related reasons to do so. The result of the trend is a new product category that also has its own, rather funny name: the “free-from-everything” food.
