TOP 5 consumer trends in the Czech Republic, 2023

Sustainability

Compared to the coronavirus pandemic, climate change is far greater a threat for businesses to respond to. Brands therefore make significant investments to associate their products with a pro-environmental approach.

E-commerce

The coronavirus pandemic accelerated the development of e-commerce. Companies that reacted quickly benefited from the crisis, those that did not, lost. In addition to the big established online players that were growing, newcomers also “rushed into” webshops.

Remaining strong during bad times

In times of uncertainty and sudden events, consumers are trying to boost their immune systems, work on their mental health, save for bad times and stock up on basic food and other necessities. They also want to educate themselves and acquire new skills in order to remain attractive in the labor market.

Engaging customers

The need to involve consumers in brand building is not new; however, this trend has intensified due to the pandemic. Surveys show that up to 64% of marketers admit to changing the way they engage their customers through their marketing activities this year.

Influencers

Influencer marketing – it is becoming a common practice. Many marketers incorporate influencers into their campaigns routinely, with some of them becoming a long-term part of brand endorsement.
