The Media Market in Slovenia 2024

Last year, the Slovenian media market continued its digital shift. Print media saw a small decline in both readership and advertising revenue, while out-of-home (OOH) advertising remained resilient. The trend toward digitalization strengthened, with more traditional billboard spaces converted into digital boards, allowing for dynamic and targeted campaigns.

From August onward, TikTok officially opened its ad platform for Slovenia. While early campaigns focused on lower-funnel goals, Q4 saw a rollout of broader campaign objectives, offering new opportunities for brand awareness.

With a noticeable shift of budgets away from direct buys on local display portals toward programmatic channels, agencies began forming their own private deal networks with local publishers, helping retain part of the media spend within Slovenia.
