TOP 5 consumer trends in Serbia, 2023
Personalization of offers and messages
In 2022, we have no more room for generic offers and send-emails-to-the-whole-base approach. Customers simply feel when we treat them just like a number - or even worse, like a walking wallet. It is true that customers today are more demanding than ever before, but who could blame them? Due to globalization and digitization, they can order goods from the other side of the world with just two clicks – even with free delivery.
Same-to-next-day delivery
In the age of instant gratification, consumers crave immediacy and expect same-day delivery as a standard service. The new generation goes a step further and moves towards ultra-fast delivery within only 10 to 15 minutes from the moment of order. Q-commerce (abbreviated from Quick commerce) is a new step in the development of online shopping.
Products without meat
From hunting to domesticating animals, we've always looked for protein. Now we know how to make it from plants. More and more consumers are choosing plant-based foods and beverages that are traditionally of animal origin. Drinks made from soy, rice, almonds, etc. successfully replace milk. Alternatives to meat like veggie burgers and sausages are found in the baskets of consumers (who are not necessarily vegetarians or are on another diet) at an increasing rate. Essentially, this trend is also a response to climate change.
TikTok makes stars
TikTok has definitely taken the lead in discovering new stars and new music. Not only in the west but in Serbia as well. The platform will see even more growth and you need to be on it as a musician if you want to reach a new generation of fans.
Excellent and sustainable packaging
The sustainability approach has strongly entered the world of design and packaging and is here to stay. Finding new materials and new ways of using existing ones reduces waste and pollution. Recycling packaging and finding new roles and uses of waste is a big step towards raising the awareness of and educating consumers about climate change.
